Dorking Skyline Walk

Service Description

Join North Downs Way Ambassador Michael Vergien on a 5.5 hour (10 mile) walk that will take us along some lesser known areas around Dorking. We will learn about the history of the area including: geology, plants and animals as well as military history. We will have a picnic lunch up on Box Hill. Start: Meet us on at the Milton Heath & Nower carpark just outside of Dorking at 9:00. what3words: later.hotel.speaks Finish: You will be back at the carpark around 14:30. Walk Level: This is a moderate walk as there will be some climbs and descents on our walk. Equipment: You will need sturdy footwear and a water bottle. Some parts of the walk can get muddy and slick depending on weather. Please bring a picnic lunch. Dogs: Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. Children: 10 miles makes this walk unsuitable for young children. Participants must be 14 and older. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Travel: It is a 1.5 mile walk from Dorking Main Station. There is free parking at the Milton Heath & Nower carpark. Tickets: You must book tickets for this walk. We may have to turn you away if you show up without a booking through the Hikes of Surrey website (not Facebook). COVID Information: Hikes of Surrey is not responsible for your health. We require participants to act responsibly and maintain social distancing with others not in your household. You will be required to use hand sanitiser at the beginning and end of the walk. Face coverings are optional. In the unlikely event that you contract Coronavirus from any of our walks, we cannot be held liable. By booking this walk you are agreeing to these term and conditions.
